DAVID
J. HORRIGAN
A true twenty-first century citizen, David John Horrigan
is a Canadian who lives in the United States and works
in China. Davids syndicated newspaper column on
Apple computers appears in the South China Morning
Post, the largest English language newspaper in
Asia. His columns have also been published in Wired
News, the San Diego Union, the Sydney Morning
Herald, Bright Ideas magazine, and on the
Apple Small Business Web site. His photographs have
been published by the San Diego Union, the Ottawa Citizen,
Alternative Therapies In Health and Medicine,
and in a National Geographic special publication
on undersea exploration. A long-time advocate of human
potential and the New Renaissance, David uses his writing
to help people nurture their talent and skills and become
empowered through technology.
Trained
as a marine engineer in Canada in his youth, David helped
build the worlds first privately-owned submarine,
the August Picard, and served as its chief engineer
for three years. He also supervised the engineering
reconstruction of numerous historic sailing ships, including
the schooner Star Pilot and the 1912 schooner Invader,
and was part of the crew that sailed the Invader from
San Diego to Acapulco, Mexico in 1997. David currently
runs a small business that helps develop intellectual
property for high-tech companies. In addition, he and
a friend designed and built the first 12-hour SCUBA
Limpet rebreather.
His
life-long quest for truth has led him to study various
metaphysical disciplines and most recently, he has completed
the requirements to become a Master in the Avatar tradition.
BONNIE
J. HORRIGAN
Bonnie J Horrigan is an author, artist, and publisher.
During her career she has written and published short
stories, childrens stories, non-fiction books,
interviews, features, and columns. The author of two
books: Red Moon Passage (Harmony, 1996) and Voices
of Integrative Medicine: Conversations and Encounters
(Elsevier Science, 2003), Bonnie is the current and
founding publisher of Alternative Therapies in Health
and Medicine, a breakthrough medical journal examining
alternative and cross-cultural healing practices and
the relationship of the human spirit to health and healing.
Bonnie
has studied meditation, mysticism, and shamanism for
many years, and is very interested in things that further
a healthy earth and a conscious human race.
